Jurgy punted Donovan from the 2014 WC USMNT for this kid. Sure he scored a goal, but where has this kid been since then?

It's been two goddamn years, wasn't he supposed to be something kind of special?

Seems like he should leave Bayern... He isn't getting in that first team.. Go somewhere where he can play..

Klinsmann actually punted Donovan for Brad Davis.

To be fair, Jurgy viewed (incorrectly) Donovan solely as a striker, so I don't think it came down between Green and Donovan. However, Jurgen did bring in Wondo over Donovan which is almost as bad.

Still, Green had done nothing at that point to warrant a World Cup invite, but he was such a hot commodity then that Jurgen basically promised him a ticket to Brazil if he chose US over Germany.

I think Green can be a good player. I think green will never be as good as he thinks he is now. He needs to leave Bayern. A move to France, Portugal or Holland would be ideal. The kid is still very young

Needs a loan at the least, Netherlands, Spain, or France would be good. He's never gonna be a first team guy for Bayern Munich so he might as well make the permanent move if he can find a good fit

Thanks guys. Good answers. Nice to ask a question and not get a collective "GFY" from the board.

I think he can excel under Carlo b/c Bayern will be a lot more of an attacking/counter attacking side.

He wasn't a Pep type of player at this point of his development and will probably never be in that mold.

At the expense of whom? He's a sporadic squad player at the very best at Bayern. They're loaded at winger and already have a kid younger than Green seeing a lot of first team minutes. When Ribery and Robben get too old and frail they'll just buy established talent. I just don't think Green will ever be good enough to see the kind of minutes he needs to see at Bayern.
