Thank goodness Prandelli finally ended his fascination with Giaccherini and Gilardino and brought in some of future stars.
It will be interesting to see what 5/6 make the final cut.
Balotelli is a certainty and Cerci and Immobile near certain.
After that I doubt even Prandelli has decided:
Cassano had a marvelous season and is finally in shape.
He can provide a degree of creativity that takes Italy to completely different level but he's crazy and so you never know what Prandelli will decide.
Rossi was superb and would be a shoe-in if he had returned sooner from his latest injury. He'll have to prove to Prandelli that he's fully fit or may get left out.
Destro and/or Insigne may be left out but both provide something unique off the bench and will be likely fixtures for the 2016 EUROs and 2018.
The midfield is set, formidable and deep. The central defenders are solid...
The biggest surprise is LB-RB. De Sciglio will start on one side but where depends on who wins what seems like an open competition between Maggio, Abate and surprise call ups Manuel Pasqual and Matteo Darmian.

Still glad that Pirlo is still performing well. Hope he has a sweet beard for the WC

Yeah, I hope he can stay healthy next year and Roma give him the chance to be the guy even if we add another striker for depth.
His goals to minutes played ratio this year had to be among the top few players in Europe.

Never, ever count out Italy in any competition. They are stacked and will be a tough out for any team in this tournament.
