Assuming the teams behind win their games in hand here is the total point differential between the first place team in each league and the rest of the top 5....
EPL- 21 points
La Liga- 46 points
Serie A- 83 points
Bundesliga- 97 points

The problem is England doesn't have an elite team with Aguero injured and Cheslea without a striker.
Hard to argue the PL has been the most interesting league to watch this season though, imo.

Yeah but do you have any other suggestions for a Premier League marquee matchup? Nothing I can think of comes close to Real Madrid vs Atlético or Bayern vs Dortmund (I know I'm biased here).

It's OK to throw LFC in those matchups BEAST... that would not be Homerism

If Finn's is any indicator of the rest of the country at all, any LFC league match will outdraw a Bayern match. LFC vs Arsenal would crush Bayern v Dortmund ratings in the US, imo.

Well I think HH might have been talking about worldwide viewing numbers, and I just flat out changed it to US specific. Either way it doesn't prove much.

I don't think that that's crazy, or anything.
Although they are an excellent team, I think they've benefited greatly from a slow-starting Real Madrid and a relatively dysfunctional Barcelona.

I watched the CL final last year. Decent match, far from noteworthy.
In terms of this thread though and the "competitiveness" of a league a Bayern Dortmund match is totally irrelevant. They would have to play like 8 times a season and BVB win everyone of them to make the games actually mean anything.

You have to include Liverpool in it. They are one of the most exciting teams to watch in the world this season.
For an EPL match, I would probably pick City vs Liverpool (or Palace vs Stoke
).

There's 2 reasons I don't watch many Bundesliga matches.
Bayern is so far ahead, and the matches are on GolTV.
I mean, the Bundesliga has some exciting matches, but GolTV just sucks arse.
