Usually, the first match is not do or die but with the way our schedule shakes out, I feel like we have to get 3 points against Ghana, else we fricked.

I hope we don't follow our trend of giving up a quick goal in the opening match like we have in the past.

frick, today and Sunday are going to go by so slow.

hope not too, but that was a trait of the Bob Bradley days, not Jurgy's teams. I think the first 30 mins or so of the game will give us a clue as to what will go down in the next few weeks.

2006 was Bruce when Czech Rep scored in the 5th minute.

We absolutely must get 3 points against Ghana.

I think five points should punch us a ticket to the knockout stages. Six points might win us the Group. Four points likely gets us into a goal differential discussion.

That entire match gave me AIDS. The one good thing that we were able to take away from that was how well GAM played in his first WC match.

Yeah, so much for that...

Also, frick Paulo Nedved

Agreed on all counts.

I'm not sure about that, simply because it's the first weekend of the World Cup, and there is plenty of great soccer to enjoy.

Number of "controversial" decisions. Arsenal fans should remember him.
