I know most would go the top team route, but not for me, i would rather buy a club with little history, fan base, and either scenic(along beach) or in a part of historic area.

My first choice would be Malaga

I would spend heavily into Youth camps around South America, North America, and In Europe. Build it from youth, and then fill with missing pieces. get to where you can sell/exchange young talent for a missing piece, and then when he gets old, replace with another youngster.

Malaga also has a good population of Brits and Germans, so bringing in a young brit/german can help in the fan front.

Also, it's a beach city, and Build a Stadium close to the Beach, a scenic and place where people want to be. (example)To me, i'm not moving to Florida to live in orlando!(example)

What say you!

PS poor Malaga, they get a shiek to buy them, and it's the 7th Cousin sheik, who has no Money!!!! Unlucky after such a turn around. Pelligrini does better with less, Man city is for player coaches who only need to keep team together, not a tactician.

I would buy a lower league team and build a new stadium that is simple and small with the option for future expansion (see MK Dons' stadium) should "we" hit it big with some promotions.

Getting a deal with Nike would be a must and we'd be the club with multiple (more than just 1 alternate) kits and hell, we'd mix up the socks/shorts/kit combos from week to week.

However, after listening to Barry Hearn's appearances on the Men In Blazers podcast, it sounds like you will only bleed money with this kind of venture.

It'd be cool to buy Leeds. Spend a butt ton of money to get them a Premier League title.

I've always thought that Palermo would be an interesting buy for someone with a similar approach to the American owners of Roma.

They have a hugely loyal fanbase and the international diaspora of Sicilians is vast (USA, Australia, Argentina etc).

Of course, dealing with local politics in building a new stadium would be an immense hassle but Palermo would still rank high among clubs that could skyrocket in value with the right owner.

Newcastle, duh.

Taking out teams I have a rooting interest in I would probably go with West Ham.

Good question. Looked up Shrewsbury FC, for a laugh.

Went to their page, guess who got their start there?

Joe Hart.

ETA I´m with SeeeK, Málaga has great potential.

I thought the SB was going to pitch in and buy a club. What happened to that?

I'd personally buy AS Monaco and build them into a superpower. I know that's their plan right now, I just want their owner's job and cash.

I would also change their kits, because right now they're all kinds of meh. And I would eventually expand the Stade Louis II.

Oh, and I would also buy star players who didn't play for Porto, considering that was their strategy this summer.

I think that a couple of us own shares in Real Oviedo. We're basically halfway there. I'm preparing for a bidding war with Carlos Slim.
