I think the Egypt manager played it correctly

They weren't expected to win this game whether Mo Salah played or not. Save him until he's 100% fit vs much lesser comp in Russia and SA.
I've seen enough from the Egyptians to say they can advance but they cannot afford a draw vs the Russians because of the goal difference

it's close but I disagree. Is Mo gonna be 100% in 4 days?
In the final 10 minutes Uruguay was pushing everyone forward and not evening concerning themselves with the counter. If Mo is in there, that's not the case.

That is true but all Egypt has to do to advance is beat Russia. Easier said than done but a fully rested Salah will make it easier and they can beat Saudi without him as well

He's needed next game, not today. And when they beat Russia, they can sit him again. You could put tito and benito salah out there and whip the saudi team.
