The damn storm just sits and doesn't move or weaken.

That's how Ivan was when it hit my old hometown. Big storm that was soooooo slow. Unfortunately for us, it was Cat 3. Got pounded for days.

Stay safe, my friends.

My backyard in BR is trashed and the storm really hasn't begun here yet. Not looking good.

Same here. I saw the county I'm in was under a Tornado Warning while I was sleeping. I guess it's going to rain like this all day and all night.

Well that's convenient... except for the whole leak in the first place.

I'm doing fine. I got out of NOLA because I knew I would lose power to the dorm, leaving me unable to feed myself anything but poptarts. My annoying younger cousins are in town, too, so I'm just avoiding them for the most part.

Same. Decided to ride it out with my fraternity brothers in BR since I knew i'd be so bored i'd lose my mind without power. Storm hasn't even really hit us. I hope my power in Nola isn't out for too long because my fridge is going to be disgusting.

"Meh."

In Mid City BR.

Expecting power to go out within the hour.

I'll have to fire up the grill and cook all of the meat in my freezer.

Power has been out since 8:00 last night. Miserably hot all night. Now sitting in my parents RV with the generator running.

I'm in the middle of BR clinging to power. The lights have flickered a couple times, but I's still holding on as of now. A huge tree a couple streets over fell this morning.

In Lafayette. Just a rain storm so far. My work did send a text saying they're closed tomorrow so there's that.
