Another good one from the same year

I really wish they could have gotten Ronaldo a champions league title.

The point is that the Dutch youth system is the best in the world, for both players and coaches, and continually churns out excellent players.

If it's just about the system, is there any way we could model ours after theirs?

this could be done. i suppose jergey will have a german model to emulate. problem is, what do we do with gulati (jergey's a director, not a coach/manager/trainer).

Don't forget Ronald Koeman and Frank Rijkaard at the back. Rijkaard was an attack-minded half.

One of the best games I ever saw, was in Dallas, 1994, quarter-final match against Brazil. , Brazil 3-2 Netherlands, Brazil was up 2-0, then the Dutch answered, Tremendous match.

Yes and no. Finding enough quality coaches will be a problem.

You have to wonder what they could have been if Ruud Gullit had been a member of that team. He was still one of the best players in the world, but he had personal differences with the Dutch team manager.

Dick Advocaat in 1994. I remember that now that you mention it; I had forgotten about that. Van Basten was already done, I think, his knees were shot by then.
