this is my favorite. I think Joe Hart is top 5 as is Buffon.

Not sure how long your friend has been watching soccer, but Cech had a rough year, by his standards, at Chelsea in 11/12 (not picking on Chelsea, Reina had his worst year in a Red shirt yet last season).

De Gea will be up there one day. You just wait.

And Thibaut Courtois.

After this past EPL season, I would put szscsesggy at least on the same tier as de gea. IMO he had a much better season than de gea this past year. The rest of your list is pretty spot on

The problem with Wolzoiboag Szcenozyeysmasdngflkabgo;iyso;yhao;ihgo;iahsg;y

besides the fact that I can't remember how to spell his name ever..

He had a bad Euro's for sure, but he's also had a few times that he's clearly shown his youth/bad decision making (gets flustered) as well as not the best distribution. But talent wise I think he's up there for sure.

I think cech has been a bit overrated since his injury.. he would still be top ten IMO. Prbly 5-6 range..

Casillas
Neuer
Hart
Buffon

Would all definitely be above him.

Elite

Casillas, Cech, Buffon

almost elite

Neuer, Hart, Reina, Cesar, Lloris, Valdes

pretty damn good

Howard, Vorm, Stekelenberg, de Gea

above average

Mandanda, Szczesny, Given, Friedel, Schwarzer, Wiese

I can roll with the majority of this.

I think it's safe to put Neuer and Hart in the elites, unless you want to hold them in the "almost elite" category until they prove themselves year in and year out. They are pretty young (in comparison)

This. No doubt they are the next generation and they will be elite. But the guys in my elite category are all 30 and have consistently performed at the top for the past 5-10 years.

Friedel > Howard

Especially when you look at their entire career.
