Says the man who's the Man U fan? That's rich. And I'm already an Arsenal fan, and have been for since they had Henry, and continue to be a die hard despite the fact that they haven't won a trophy since 05. And I try and watch mls when it's on but there's only so many times I can watch a center mid misplay a wide open pass.
I also explained my lsu fandom, I always watch and support lsu's teams specifically, but it helps dramatically for lsu to be good in regards to me getting into the sport in general. Example, im much more likely to be enthralled by a game between two bubble teams from the acc if lsu is also fighting for a spot in the NCAA tourney. Again would you expect an Greek basketball fan to watch the Greek basketball association over the NBA? Or an icelander to root for a team from some icelandic semi pro team and not the NHL?

Well I just feel the exact opposite way. But to each his own

Interesting from a guy who said that...

When lsu isn't good at a sport I don't really watch.
And the Man U line doesn't work on me, buddy. You're going to have to try a lot harder.

Not over, but in addition to.
For soccer to gain in popularity in America, it's gotta have a stronger domestic league. Support it. Do your part and watch some games, help boost their ratings.
No one is saying just to be a fan of MLS only. Very, very few in this country are that way. But why not follow your country's league that's on the rise in the world of soccer...especially when they play when your beloved Gunners are not in season?
Everyone knows it's not La Liga, Bundesliga or the Premier League. For the love of God, the league is in its teenage years. Football associations in those countries are over a century old! Of freaking course it's not the same level...how could it be in this amount of time?
But it's one of the most competitive leagues in the world. It's unique. It boasts some of the best pure athletes in the game. The majority of the USMNT have MLS roots.

"Real fans" get up at 6AM on Sunday so they can squeeze in the DVRd A-League game before the first EPL game starts.
Nah, real fans don't need to use the DVR on the A-League games.

But it really doesn't. If you took the time to watch more than one match a week, you'd realize this. You really become more ignorant with every post. I haven't even looked if you posted in the third page yet.

This. I really just started watching the MLS last year and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Sure, it's not the quality of the EPL, but it's still a fun, exciting, and competitive league.

I go watch my niece's U9 games, they are far superior to A league matches

This. A real fan knows that the A-League sucks and doesn't waste their time watching it.

If I was awake at 2AM saturday morning, I watched. Can't beat live soccer at that time.

I don't give a rats arse about the MLS, but you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Just back out of the thread. It'll be for your own good.

I'm not really a fan of the MLS either, but I did enjoy the second half of the Portland v San Jose match the other night...
