How did you choose your favorite BPL team?

Also, does the rant have a fantasy premier league private group?

Did a little research, narrowed it down to a few, then watched some matches.

No idea what this means.

I think Suarez played a big part.

Fantasy Premier League on the official website...nvm.

Watched matches, looked into players.
Everton was pretty "in" in 2014 due to Howard's performance in the World Cup. Howard helped a little but not that much honestly.
Rather, I liked the young core of good players (Barkley, Stones, McCarthy) and some of the more tenured club leaders (Jags, Baines). Like where the club sat in the hierarchy (good history, not top 4, but competitive most seasons). Like the fact that it wasn't turned over yet by a wealthy owner, although I'm not against the concept. Liked the fact that it wasn't Tottenham.

I started off like anyone liking the big clubs but the more I watch the more I like Spurs.
Honestly I'm basically between deciding on Spurs or the Toffees. Good buddy of mine is an Everton fan and is part of Everton USA and the Carolina Toffees.

You'll catch a lot of shite for narrowing it down to Spurs...but it's a good decision. It actually came down to Spurs and Everton for me as well. Just prepared, with either team, for a good deal of heartbreak.

my brother is a United fan and when I was younger I loved the United/Arsenal matches so I became an Arsenal fan. pretty much started when Wenger got there.

Why's that?
Lots of Arsenal fans on here....so you get the "shite" comments a good deal. But it's still a good club to follow. So are Everton. Can't go wrong with either, IMO. I would suggest watching their matches. Maybe check in to the season-long threads for both clubs. You'll eventually gravitate towards one or the other.
Also, we do have a private fantasy league on the BPL site. Here's our season thread for it: LINK

I feel like there is going to be a Spurs-EFC rivalry in the US that doesn't really exist in England

I'm a Cowboys/Lakers/Yankees fan. It was only natural for me to support United

Michael Owen & El Hadji Diouf. 2002 World Cup. First time I watched (almost) every single match, and did not just watch US/Brazil. Picked up FIFA 03 a few months later, and saw that Owen & Diouf were both on Liverpool's roster. Also thought the all red kits were badass.

A lot of research and watching helped decide. I was leaning Tottenham when I took some silly quiz online and it came back Spurs as #1 and that was it.
Haven't regretted it for one second. And there is a great group of Spurs supporters on TD so that has helped. COYS
Spurs are playing today at 2pm central btw. Big match imo.

I like Americans that play on Europe... but when Lukaku became a favorite for me I settled on Everton even more so.
In my parts Lukaku is a way of life

I started playing FIFA in 06 before every EPL game was on tv. So I liked the big clubs I played with. Eventually I settled on Chelsea because Drogba became my fav player. Chelsea is my #1 team but I don't really have a #2 team I just kinda root for my Blues and just watch all the other games and just hope to see exciting football. Although in CL I always root for the EPL team's first.

I just started watching matches. When Liverpool beat city in the rain last year, I could feel Anfield's atmosphere through my TV. I thought, "these folks love their team as much as I love Alabama"
I was hooked
