Ecuador looked completely gassed on that counter. No one got back.

Suisse effort was tremendous on the counter.

It's pretty funny to read the threads. So much negativity always.

Someone scores: "terrible defending"

This comes once every four years, and the action has been awesome so far. Sometimes I wonder if some even get any joy out of sport, or if it's just something else to bitch about.

You make a good point, Walt. So much of the buildup was the problems that Brazil was having and how this might turn into a shitshow. So far, it's been a lot of fun to watch.

The official redwolfsteamroller prediction: No one singing during the national anthem = no chance. Switzerland rolls 2-1.

Another great prediction

Valon Behrami's play on Switzerland's winning goal was comparable to Van Persie's goal in terms of the most remarkable plays of the WC so far to my mind.

From desperately going to ground for a game saving tackle in his box to plowing through that technical foul attempt and setting up numbers for the winning goal all after flipping out a minute before that Shaquiri wasn't going for the jugular on the previous counter.

Thought the referee did a great job recognizing Switzerland's advantage

This one play made watching the previous shitty 92 minutes and 30 seconds worth it.

Also, it seems like all of Switzerland's players are actually from Yugoslavia
