He is still the easy scapegoat for you. Good to see nothing has changed around here, echo chamber and all.

Whose dick do we need to suck to get a decent fricking coach? Why can’t we look outside the MLS?

You still carrying the water for a shite coach is hilariously on brand.

And, naturally your counter will be "well you're doing the same for Gregg". frick Gregg.

I genuinely had no idea people still defended Jurgen.

I'm not carrying water. We are still having discussions about shitty managers years and years after Jurgen.

The point is maybe there is another issue you cant/wont admit.

That Gregg is a shitty manager? I've admitted that.

Doesn't mean Jurgen wasn't shitty.

Both have been mediocre or shitty at every stop in their career outside of Jurgen getting propped up by Jogi in 2006.

Lofty and true post as always - the great SCH is as well versed at international football tactics as SFP is on Civil Code, breaking down a weak side zone blitz, or reverse engineering major national elections.

It's always a treat when these two minds collide in the same threads here at TD

One good thing about not making it out of group is that it might bring the end of Gregg

Lol, he's gone if we don't make it out of the group. Hell, he's even hinted that this would be his only cycle regardless.

Okay, so, we have a run of shitty mangers. We actually took a step back after Jurgen's shitty tenure.

There is another problem. Maybe the focus should start there? Talent/development in the player pool.

Why does there have to be another problem? It's not possible to have two shitty managers in a row?

Que?

Jurgan's tenure ended as the catalyst to not making the world cup. We've improved as national team post-Jurgen. We still aren't where we should be though.

Gregg has kicked the shite out of Jurgen in focusing on youth.

You and I both know that wasn't his vision. He just said it was even though the residency program already planned to be dissolved in favor of MLS youth academies before he even entered the picture.

Listen to the USMNT anthology podcast series Roger Bennett just did with Brenden Hunt. Jurgy fractured the frick out of the national team.

I'm trying to find the tweet but some journalist claimed to have talked to people in US Soccer and reported that it wasn't out of the question for US Soccer to retain Berhalter even if US didn't make it out of groups.

Yeah Berhalter isn't proactive enough.

You would think we can get an actual manager from Europe who would be excited to work with all these young players entering their prime and elevate USMNT to another level. Settling for a dogwater MLS manager again after canning this clown would be sad.
