He's going to make a lot in Seattle, maybe more than he would've made at another club in England. Also, I'm sure he will be paying a lot less in taxes.

Clint is going to be paid a higher salary than Beckham was. 8 mil a year, I think. He's making 4x what LA is paying Landon.

I think he could get some more endorsements here in America. The market in Europe is too crowded with talent

Which teams besides Chivas USA? The Canadian sides, NY, LA, Seattle, Portland, Sporting KC, Real Salt Lake, and Houston all have legitimate ownership groups.
Chivas was a huge mistake. If there is a way to contract that team, I would be very glad. 23 o4 24 teams could be a big risk though.

Ho-lee shite.
They totally made this the perfect storm of soccer matches.
Dempsey getting signed + Portland coming to town? Sell out, no doubt.

Sporting KC
Even though we have a legitimate ownership group, they haven't really spent big money on anyone, since we have had great success in the Super Draft and also because Vermes doesn't want players unless they fit in the system he runs, and we don't really have any glaring holes where a DP could help out a ton. Not to mention the fact that Kansas City isn't New York or Los Angeles.
Our three DPs we have ever had have been some of the more lower paid DPs too. Claudio Bieler, our only current DP, is making $200,000 this year. Omar Bravo had an average salary of $170,000 at SKC, and Jéferson had an average salary of $484,996.

Also an ESPN2 broadcast. No doubt it will be the highest rated MLS game of the season

Perhaps ever? I can't think of another game that will have more buzz surrounding it. Maybe Beckham or Henry's first game?

The only downside is that it probably would have been a sellout even if it wasn't Deuce's first home game. If his home debut was a different game, they surely could have two sellouts instead of one.
I can't wait to watch the game though, it will be fun to watch for sure.

and I'm pretty sure ESPN is going to pimp the shite out of this game. That being said we really need every team in the league to have their own Dempsey, Henry, or Beckham type player. Also, it would help if there was a big name Canadian player on each of the Canadian teams.
