we have to start playing these matches in better locations..
Posted on 6/25/11 at 9:57 pm to hendersonshands
and they could easily have 13. What's your point?

It may be time to evacuate the SB for a while.

this sucks. i hate getting amped up for US soccer just it just turns into a massive fail

My god, that was supposed to be a home game?
Posted on 6/25/11 at 9:58 pm to LfcSU3520
My point is that if Cherundolo was playing, we'd be fine. Stop trying to be an elitist.

I agree with the quality of opponents (non-friendlies).
We're never fully tested in games that we're supposed to take seriously. If we had more teams that could clean our clocks, player and coach evaluations could happen much faster.

Really? Because if you notice where the champions in the cup come from, they are almost always from EUFA or CONMEBOL. Why is that? You know why? They play in real competition against legit powers, and not just exhibitions that they don't care about.
Overall, when the US plays a big team from another confederation they aren't playing their best players and half the time are only working on chemistry and avoiding injury. It's true.

frick you
not being an elitist, I'm just pointing shite out. Stop being a one sided dick and call it like you see it.
Obv Cherundolo going out killed us, but so what? They lost 5 players in the tourney, and subbed out two more in 1st half. What the hell do you want?

Anyway we can qualify for the confederations cup after this ? How did we qualify for it the last time if we didn't win the the gold cup last time.

that's b/c they have the talent/money to have superior talent, and develop that talent
it's not about competition, it's about who is on the squad

Exactly. Bradley makes his living off of decent showings in the big tourneys and then beating up on CONCACAF outside of Mexico. Seriously, if people took off their homer hats and realize that the US never losing a Gold Cup group match until this year is not some huge accomplishment. It directly correlates to the quality of opponents we face in this tournament.

Your whole deal on the board is too seem more informed than everyone else. Of course we're going to be emotional and biased, we don't need your all mighty wisdom imparted on us. My point is that we attacked fine and got unlucky around goal and Bornstein is why we lost.

I hope Mexico ends up in the group of death in Brazil
