You'll have a keen time mate - the only bad news is that it's in Houston where there's frick all to do and super spread out, and not a great city like Seattle or Chicago or Philadelphia where there is history, compact cities, and public transportation

I plan on buying tickets tomorrow if we win tonight and driving down from Austin for the game. I fully expect to get raped on ticket prices but frick it...it's Messi and Team USA

The Metro Rail Red line runs through downtown all the way to NRG Stadium. Hotel Icon, Lancaster Hotel, and other boutiques are within walking distance/across the street of rail stops. $1.25 to get you to the game and avoid parking.
Plenty of bars near the rail as well as some grub. Check out a brand new place called the conservatory downtown for a great craft beer selection.

Thanks everyone. I fully expect Messi to prove to my son why he is the greatest Soccer player in teh world. (Not jackass Renaldo) Looking at club ticket for 300 bucks. Is that worth it? Buying for view not club

Is that the 300 level? That's where we bought for my husband and son.
