everytime I see Germany play now, I just randomly shout out "schweinsteiger" in my worst German accent. I'm pretty sure my wife thinks I'm losing my damn mind, but it's just such a fun name to say

I'm with you. Watched my first Bundesliga game this past year and the announcer on GolTV would over-pronounce the hell out of that name. It was quite funny.

Isn't one of Greece's best players suspended? Not that they stood much of a chance anyway IMO

I wonder why he waited until the knockouts to do that? Still cool. I still wanna see Götze though.

I was told Schweinsteiger means pig farmer in German. It is one of those things where I could care less if its true because I refuse to believe differently now.

Guessing he's got a different plan for unlocking the Greek defense...

two questions...

1) I'm not sure why, but I thought Ozil was a wing mid.. not central? maybe I'm just thinking of all those beautiful crosses.

2) Why the change to Klose from the 3 goal scoring Hoff Jr now?

It does. Schwein means pig.

Because Klose is one of the best finishers in soccer and brings a ton of experience to an extremely young line-up.

I believe it.. My name roughly translates (after a few centuries of one letter tweeks) to "Man who lives near or grows Lime trees"

Reus likes to drift inside. Schürrle makes very smart runs so I guess he's putting in Klose to receive the ball deep and allow those two to get deep. It also allows Özil more freedom since Klose will come back for the ball.

He can play across that line

He'll drift into space, anyway
