Barring injury, absolutely.

Evans was really bad against South Korea's B team on Saturday, it's hard to imagine him being our guy going forward.
All that to say, Jurgen seems deadset on using attack minded fullbacks. Cameron is capable of getting forward, but he doesn't necessarily fit that mold.

I don't know, I mean, he isn't a winger playing fullback, but he's more than proficient going forward. He could conceivably play a B2B role, which is what essentially a modern fullback does. I think he's a better player than Evans in pretty much every way.

I agree. He was excellent against United on Saturday, arguably the best player across their back line.
It will be interesting to see if Chandler makes it in for the Ukraine match.

Cameron has been playing better than Chandler this season.

Preface this by saying I didn't see the game this weekend.
I think he should.

I don't know, when given the freedom to go, he goes. He's done some nice things at Stoke when he can get forward, the few times I've seen him there.

Although I haven't seen Chandler play this year, no GolTV, I did read that he's been amongst the lowest rated fullbacks in the Bundesliga.
My point wasn't that Chandler should start over Cameron, it was that we may need Cameron at CM or CB. If one of Besler, Gonzalez, Bradley, or Jones sustains an injury, Cameron is probably Jurgen's first choice to fill in. Hell, the way Omar played on Saturday, Cameron may be a first choice CB right now.

Cameron has been playing very well for Stoke at RB this season and put in some excellent crosses.

For what it's worth, I do think Cameron should start at RB.

Even before last week's game Cameron was already one of the better right backs in the EPL.
We deserve to be knocked out if he doesn't start.

I agree. I'm pro Cameron starting at RB. In my mind, I don't think there's any question that he's our best option. Then again, I've never seen these players practice, and I certainly don't have Jurgen's football acumen.
I'm just pointing out that a Stoke City fullback and a USA fullback, under Jurgen, are not necessarily like for like.

While potentially accurate, its not like we have been blowing it up at right back. So Cameron would not be replacing someone that was a perfect fit for Jurgen's RB needs.

A Stoke City fullback is what we need for this group.

I was always a fan of GC playing CM with M Bradley like we did in the WCQ against Panama in Seattle
