Also another big thing is not letting MLS sides use plastic pitches, the game isn’t meant to be played on that shite.

Another reason why it’s hard to take seriously.

Agreed, but it works for Scandinavian leagues and honestly we have a similar climate for a large part of the year that you want us to play in (the winter).

It’s a give and take thing. You get the normal European schedule but then you compete against college and pro football, college and pro basketball, and then the NHL. Then you have to do a winter break, which Americans aren’t used to and probably wouldn’t work. Is that really a net benefit? I think not.

We definitely need promotion/relegation, but good luck getting MLS owners to agree to that. What’s your plan, btw, for getting buy in for pro/rel?

It's never going to happen now, the league got too big to where, for it to happen, you need teams to agree to move down to whatever the lower league would be.

All this recent expansion, while good for the immediate growth of the sport in terms of expanding the footprint, fricked up any chance of pro/rel.

Don’t have one because it won’t happen, at least not yet. It could in the far future only if the sport grows in popularity, overtaking the big 3.

But it’s somewhat necessary not having it since we’re still in the “early” stages of the league. Essentially, we’re still building the airplane as we’re flying it, and investors wouldn’t want the risk of their product on the brink of sinking. But I think we could be closer after a bit of time once we see the rise of the USL, advancing into broader markets, and if successful, maybe demand it. But that’s down the road, such as to my first premise.

Talk about under achieving with so much local talent

They love to sell off anyone with potential as soon as they hit the European radar unfortunately. Its been like watching a AA team for years, you wanna support them but as soon as you latch onto a promising player you know he won't be there next season. They seem committed to winning this year finally so we'll see what happens.

Aaaaaaand right on queue Nipples gets one on one with the keeper with no one else within a mile and misses
