So do you agree with the ban on selling beer at matches ?

No. But while the manner in which they did it was wrong, in general it's still their country.

What does that have to do with anything?

Man, once every four years this board turns into a cesspool. I can't wait until this tournament is over so these guys can crawl back to the dark corners of the OT.

I was referring to you stating that we should respect their culture.

Lmao MY safe space? I'm not the one bleeding all over my tampon about a few colors on an arm band, however futile and pointless it may be.

Calling others snowflake when you can't deal with a simple piece of fabric is hilariously ironic. I'm not the one clutching my pearls here because some small time pandering is on my tv.

It is extremely narcissistic as a visitor to attempt to inject your culture and points of view on the host.

Sure, that's true if you're talking about a world cup in France or Germany. But this is a different story.

FWIW, I couldn't agree more that we should have just boycotted it. This half-arse attempt at protest while simultaneously partaking in the event is stupid. But I just can't agree with respecting their culture.

Respect isn't the right word. It's a "When in Rome..." type of thing. We agreed to play there and to abide by their rules. If we (or any other country) have a problem with their rules, then we should not have agreed to play.
