They started the mls after the last time. So that increased opportunity in the US for men.


But if you are a teen male and you aren't playing in Europe, you just aren't going to be good enough. The best South American teens are going to Europe, they don't stay back home in Brazil and Argentina. The best players come back to those leagues as retirement, like Neymar.

I’m sure there will be a bump in youth soccer participation and maybe even adult leagues. There will probably be a modest increase in interest in MLS and more people watching the premier league.

I think it probably just reinforces the kids who already love soccer and watching the stars of the sport play in their normal leagues. This number of kids is already much higher than the MSB thinks.

Significant for sure, rec numbers are up around 20% in our local medium sized club, which is outside of a major city, and registration is still open.

Yes, but not through colleges, the trend was already on the rise, there will likely be a small bump. The possibility of the USL merging or being acquired by MLS will increase opportunities of post high school opportunities for not just players, but coaches, training staffs, etc.
