It's the final day of Euro qualifying (and the second day of WC qualifying in South America). Here's what you need to know:

All Times CDT

GROUP A
Latvia - Kazakhstan, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN3)
Netherlands - Czech Republic, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN2)
Turkey - Iceland, 1:45 p.m. (FS+)

Notes: Iceland and Czech Republic have qualified. Turkey will finish third with a single point against Iceland. Turkey can still finish as the top third-placed finisher with a win and a Kazakhstan win at Latvia. Otherwise, Hungary will finish as the top third-placed finisher and qualify automatically.

GROUP B
Belgium - Israel, 1:45 p.m. (FS2)
Cyprus - Bosnia-Herzegovina, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN3)
Wales - Andorra, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN3)

Notes: Belgium and Wales have qualified. Let me take my best crack at the scenarios for the possible third-placed teams:

Bosnia:
-Win: Playoff
-Draw: Playoff if Israel fail to beat Belgium
-Loss: Eliminated

Israel:
-Win: Playoff if Bosnia fail to beat Cyprus
-Draw: Eliminated
-Loss: Eliminated

Cyprus:
-Win: Playoff if Israel fail to beat Belgium
-Draw: Eliminated
-Loss: Eliminated

GROUP H
Bulgaria - Azerbaijan, 1:45 p.m. (FS2Go)
Italy - Norway, 1:45 p.m. (FS1)
Malta - Croatia, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN3)

Notes: Italy have qualified. Norway qualify with a win in Italy. A draw or loss means Croatia qualify with a win at Malta. Third-placed finisher to the playoff.

SOUTH AMERICA WC QUALIFYING
Ecuador - Bolivia, 4 p.m. (beIN)
Uruguay - Colombia, 6 p.m. (beIN ESP)
Paraguay - Argentina, 7 p.m. (beIN)
Brazil - Venezuela, 8 p.m. (beIN ESP)
Peru - Chile, 9:15 p.m. (beIN)

So was Van Persie intentionally heading that ball back to the keeper?

I mean it sure looked like it but man how stupid was that?

Potentially massive for Turkey:

Kazakhstan have taken the lead in Latvia. If Kazakhstan win and Turkey can squeak a goal, Turkey would be the top third-placed finisher ahead of Hungary.

He definitely was. His body shape and the way he looks it back to the keeper leaves no doubt. Absolutely idiotic. Pretty crafty goal on the other end though.

I don't think he deserved a yellow for embellishment. He did get whacked pretty good. He made it look good, but not deserving of yellow to me.

And there it is. Turkey have the goal. If results hold, Turkey will pip Hungary for the top third-placed finisher.

Why did Gokhan Tore get a red?

I remember him with Rubin Kazan.

Hard to believe he's only 23.
