Is it going to Fox or NBC after 2014?

I kinda liked going to the bars in the morning to watch it in 2010.
For Germany in 2006, I recall the games being on at a reasonable time. Like 3pm here are something like that.
It was bad for Korea/Japan in 02 because the games would be at 1am or 6am. Looking back on it though, I remember being excited as a kid staying up late to watch it.

2006 was the first time we got legit and well rounded WC coverage in the US. It only got bigger in 2010 and I have no doubt 2014 will be the biggest yet.
I agree. It'll suck that I'm going to have to miss that, being in Rio and all.

In 1994 a lot of the games were in the afternoon to please the Europeans.

ESPN isn't stupid. They know where the future U.S. viewership lies.
pro football, college football, college basketball, pro basketball, and Yankees/Boston pro baseball.

Second-most popular sport for fans 21 and under in the United States is pro soccer. That's your future.

While I think Fox will do a good job, I just hope they will commit the resources and effort that ESPN did/has with WC and the Euros.
I wish Fox would do more EPL on Fox. I mean it's the morning. Are those infomercials really paying the bills? Give me some damn football.
We'll see, but I missed ESPN for UCL and I'm afraid it will be the same for WC starting in 2018.

Luckily, that local station was out of Gulfport and a new FOX station has popped up in Hattiesburg and they showed the games in non-HD ... but they have an HD channel now on my cable so I'm good to go.

You have no idea how pumped I am about WC 2014 being on a realistic western hemisphere time schedule.
Most of relevant Brazil is only an hour ahead of me on the east coast. Awesome.
I'm really excited about that.
