I can see italy shredding england pretty good. I like balotelli, di natali, and casano against a creaky, older, and slow england back four. pulling for them the rest of the way.

That sucks. I thought Portugal couldn't play Germany again until finals

Did you make up that bracket yourself?

It's wrong. Germany and Greece were in groups B and A respectively.

Spain was in group C, France in group D

I predicted six of the teams right. Group A was a big clusterfrick. My bold prediction pre-tourney was Portugal to the semis, and that is looking promising.

Quarters:

Czech Republic
Portugal

Spain
France

Germany
Greece

England
Italy

Pre-EUROS I picked Spain to go to the Finals, but I kind of want to pick France instead now. I think that will be an intense game that may come down to PKs. I am sticking with my predictions from that tourney predictor game the whole way through.

Semis:

Portugal
Spain

Germany
Italy

Finals:

Spain
Germany

Spain vs Germany could make for the perfect finals.

That bracket above is wrong.

Czech Republic vs. Portugal is lined up with Spain vs. France. Germany vs. Greece and England vs. Italy is the other side of the bracket.

ETA: Predictions

Czech Republic
Spain
England
Germany

England (on penalties over Germany)
Spain

England

:deal with it:

That's what I thought too but didn't want to say anything in case I was wrong.

All of these Germant and Spain picks are original

I love the speed of Portugal on the outside. All it takes is one slip and Portugal can score -- if Nani and CR play well, the Portugal can beat anyone. I see Germany, Spain, and Portugal all having likely chances to take home the trophy.

That's what Im saying. I could see Portugal defeating Spain based on the sheer difference in their wings.

I also can't really determine a winner between Italy/England.

But I would still have Germany in the finals, their opponent would be Portugal/Spain once I make the decision. So I might still fall in that unoriginal field

The glaring problem with Portugal right now is they lack a reliable target up top. Postiga will make one good run a game, but mostly shits the bed. Cron and Nani are devestating on the outside, but they have to finish better. They have had at least one gimme goal per game that they can't convert

I'm going with my pre-tourney pick (And my blood) and just answering the above questions all with "Germany"

Doesn't matter who else makes it through the quarters.

Just read Schweinsteiger is out with injury, wont be playing against Greece.

Not like it changes the outcome of the match, but a heads up for betting peeps.

Actually, it just says "doubtful" with ankle injury. But Ozil is expected after recovering from a knock. From sky sports news ticker. Nothing on their website though, so who knows.

Prob no need to be concerned.

Goal.com reported the same thing before the Netherlands match, fwiw. I'd take it with a grain of salt. If he can play, he'll play.
