Didn't really see a sign of a major knee injury in how he went down.

Nope, but his reaction says it all. He knows it is bad.

Talking about football with the troll squad is a blast, let me tell you. Your compadres have spoiled my opinion on Chelsea fans in general unfortunately

That is completely different than what you said earlier. It makes way more sense.

I thought it was obvious I was halfway trolling, but it is impressive what he did last season regardless of how it may have looked the effect can not be denied.

I was thinking maybe ruptured ankle ligaments. Definitely bad though.

Same here. My own brother is a Chelsea fan and now I think less of him.

No shite. He has a system at Madrid that is in place and excels.

That he has adapted based on the game and the players he has and it's totally different from what he's done in the past.

He may try but he will almost surely have to change and adapt it if he wants to have any success at all.

I understand managers have a philosophy and a way they like to go about doing things but the managers that have been successful at multiple places for long periods of time have had to be flexible enough to employ many different systems and tactics as the game and personnel changes.

I said nothing and will give an F for effort in your obvious troll attempt. Lukaku says hello, btw.

It's mostly because you can't play defensive football at Madrid. See Fabio Capello.

I agree with this, but this begs the question as to what is more important, the philosophy or the system. A high tempo, pressing, passing system is a higher risk, higher reward philosophy than a deep line counter-attacking system. It depends on what teams value.

I actually met a nice, knowledgable Chelsea fan at a party last night. Is that a rare occurrence?

No, well, not until Pool and Arsenal trolls start crying about pretty football, while their teams can't score or win.

I know. What are you referencing?

Of course. The original point I made is that I haven't seen an RDM coached squad have a real identity. I'm just curious to know his philosophy which Chelsea fans responded with "I'm not sure he has one." As someone who enjoys watching Chelsea play, that worries me.
