It's true.
If his goal against Germany would have been correctly called, you wouldn't even have an argument.

It didn't, and England still would have lost that tie.
And if Lampard doesn't pussy foot a penalty in the 2006 World Cup, England might have been in the semifinals.

Seven of those goals are from the penalty spot. He also has zero goals in major international tournaments.
Edit: He's scored seven penalties for England.

So we are just going to ignore his goal against Germany? Don't act like he has been shite, when everyone in the world knows that was a goal. Lampard>Stevie End of story.

Euro 2004 England reached the quarter-finals with Lampard netting three goals in four matches. He scored against France and Croatia in the group stages, and in the quarter-final he equalised for England in the 112th minute against Portugal, bringing the scoreline to 2–2 but England lost on penalties. He was named in the team of the tournament by UEFA.[86]
HUH?

So 16 non penalty goals for England in 90 games? And none in international tournaments. Considering his forte is scoring goals that's not that great a record.

So he almost has half the number of World Cup goals as Lilian Thuram?

not to mention what he brings to an already weak England team in midfield. to say he is garbage is just idiotic.

So he has one 'almost' goal. That's not really impressive at all.
Don't take the Gooner's word for it. Look it up.

I redact my statement about him in international competitions.
ETA: He hasn't scored in a major international tournament in EIGHT years.

Anyone think England sit back and try to camp on this lead?
I was hoping to see Ox introduced this game, maybe if England goes into a 4-5-1 they would take off Welbeck/Carroll.
