Diego Simeone, Gianfranco Zola and Maxi Allegri have all been linked with replacing Sarri and now Sky Sports' Sunday Supplement have suggested a female coach could take the reins. More specifically, Chelsea Women coach Emma Hayes.

quote:

Hayes, 42, also guided the Blues to third in the Women's Super League and to the semi-finals of the Women's Champions League this season. She's become very popular at the club and it's testament to the job she's done that she's being discussed as a potential replacement for Sarri. Whether it would actually happen remains to be seen, but Hayes has previously expressed interested in making the switch to men's football.

quote:

"But to go into that level of scrutiny and do it at the level I would like to do it at, I would like to be prepared for it." "If you are going to jump into the men's game you have to learn about scouting and recruitment, although it won't be that hard. "A female needs to get an interview first. For a club board to think about that there needs to be some progressive thinking. For me it's about opening the door."

I, for one, would be happy to see her take over at Chelsea

As a fan of a team, that isn’t Chelsea, I fully support this.

Gonna be so awkward when Sarri wins the treble for Chelsea next year.

I know, but a fella can wish...

I’m sure he’s sitting on a yacht in the Black Sea with 3 Hungarian prostitutes feeding him grapes and laughing at the mere notion of this.

Chelsea Women's coach Emma Hayes has been linked with the men's job at Stamford Bridge should Maurizio Sarri leave this summer, but will she get the job?

Seriously though, I don’t think she’s incapable from a tactical perspective, but man management and acquisitions would be new territory for her. I’d honestly like to see what she’d do with the U-21’s for a few seasons. Would be interesting.

She recently said women’s football should have smaller goals.

Looking forward to her other revolutionary concepts

they probably should, quite honestly. they aren't capable of covering the same amount of space as quickly as a man. they should probably have smaller balls as well, they do in basketball.
