insured against loss of future revenue? Never heard of that for sports. That has potential for match fixing all over that.

Heavy ethnic influences in Germany. Lots of Turks, Croats, Serbs, etc. i think there is some involvement, but nothing like Serie A, Turkish Super Liga.

With Bayern scooping up every one of their star players, they had to plan for the eventual crash once they didn't have the talent to play in that system. They were always leading up to getting exploited, and it finally just happened once their forwards cooled down. Aubamayeng may be a god on FIFA, but he's not Lewandowski. When you don't have the attacking threat they had until this year and play that style, you're begging to be punished at the back.

While attack is where they have struggled, they have a ridiculously small squad in comparison to bigger teams. They need more players so they can employ their pressing system. They've basically used 17 or 18 players the last couple of years, and I wouldn't doubt those players are run into the ground.

Against the bigger squads their forwards really were getting no decent chances because the midfield and back line were not pressing effectively. They bought all these counter attack specialist forwards but the midfield/backline never wins the ball in dangerous positions to start counter attacks. Opponents basically force them to use drag racers to navigate downtown traffic jams

I've been assured that Dortmund have the cash to buy whomever they want.
Seems like they are more interested in spending their money to protect themselves for the imminent failure they've been moving toward.
But at least they're profitable, right SCH? Great business model.

they spent 16 million pounds on a striker this summer and 25 million on a player the year before
the 50+1 protects all German clubs. Thats why there are no oil clubs in Germany and why Red Bull had to start in the 5th division.
