I'm gonna disagree with sheep on this one. I have no problem with people being upset that the game isn't spoonfed to them. It's a sign of how far soccer had come that people would expect it to be provided on every cable provider. I don't think it's a you problem either. It's a US soccer federation problem that cable providers don't value the channel their games are on enough to provide the channel. I'll be at a bar watching, but I won't say that the need to go to a bar isn't a nuisance.

Disagree about them having multiple Euro leagues being a good thing unless they provide a different channel to cover all of the important stuff live. Lot of those games are played at the same time and I don't think it does the customer any justice to have a cluster frick of tape delayed matches to watch.

Is Londoner showing the match?

I have it on Comcast in Hattiesburg. Not in HD, though.

Heading there in a few minutes. Watch some of the LSU/OU Super Regional and then the match.

Not angry. Just don't understand how we end up in the same place for every road qualifier.
It's like people are pissed because the game isn't spoonfed to them. The game is readily available to ANYONE who wants to watch it.
If you don't have a carrier that carries the channel, get one that does. If you're bound to the carrier you have (i.e. apartment complex), find a bar that has one of the many carriers that have it. If there's no bar within a reasonable distance, then chances are you live in the sticks... you could probably have DirecTV or Dish, but you choose not to.
The Honduras game in 2009 that was only broadcast at one place in Louisiana (a Hispanic bar in NOLA).... that's a reason to be pissed. *My* cable provider doesn't have the channel (even though lots of other providers do)... that's just whining. Ain't nobody got time fo dat. It's gameday, son.
awesome attitude to have to grow the sport

If anyone gets offended by THAT...

not offended in the least...but it's silly to blame people for wanting to be "spoonfed" the match. Going to bars or paying for some channel in the 600's on dtv doesn't exactly work for a large portion of the potential audience.
I don't think it's unreasonable to want the game to be on espn 2, and I don't really get the idea of thinking others shouldn't want that either. I'm a soccer novice but I would've 110% watched the entire game had it been more readily available. So would the guy who lives next door to me. But we both have kids and relatively limited budgets so paying for some random channel doesn't really work for me when I'm already dishing out a good chunk of change for cable. God forbid the sport become mainstream enough in the US that I could sit down on a Friday night with no major league competition other than early June baseball and watch (and learn more about) the game.

I had to come to a buffalo wild wings and some a-hole changed one of the big tvs to college baseball so now I'm turned toward the side.

Can we just blame Jamaica for selling the rights to BeIn? If we could trust CONCACAF to sell the rights to a decent channel, that would be the way to go, but that organization is just as dirty as FIFA.

I know BeIn is all the rage on this board right now, but this broadcast is abysmal. I feel like I'm watching Al Jazeera or some shite.

You do know BeIN getting these games have nothing to do with the mainstream popularity of the sport, right? These games used to be on pay-per-view before August 2012. BeIN wanted to make a splash when it launched, so they outbid everyone for the rights to the away matches.

BeIN outbid everyone else.
And this is the first night I've seen BeIN completely jack up a broadcast with that highlight crap. Most of the time the production quality blows FSC out of the water.
