I was trying to give people an easy scapegoat. My only hope is that their coverage improves for games like this.

That replay nonsense was ridiculous.

beIN is on some GolTV potato shite sometimes, but they are committed to showing all soccer that they can get their hands on, and their European production quality (minus English commentary) is usually very good.

shite man. You sound like a dick there. I'm in college and I'm not paying 5 bucks a month or whatever to watch a couple games. It's pretty horseshite that they aren't on regular tv channels IYAM

I agree. A lot can change when you turn away for a few minuets. It's not like an NFL game or an SEC game on CBS when you have 20 hours of down time.

For the second replay, they seem interested in cutting back to PiP when the US began to advance the ball.

No fricking idea what they were doing with the first.

You can't scrounge up five bucks a month? Really?

And if you live in an apartment or house with people who don't want to swap cable subscribers for one channel? Or maybe you use the Cox Cable LSU discount and it's significantly cheaper? Or perhaps satellites do poorly from your house?

Everyone with half a brain knows how to make sure we watch every match we want to, the point is more bitching about Cox being criminally retarded in not picking up the channel/wishing the national team was on basic cable (not too much to ask for the 4th or 5th biggest sport and maybe 15 hours of TV time a year IMHO)

He said it was a $5 per month difference for him. If that's true, then the fix is easy.

Now, those scenarios you listed are tougher...and I understand if you don't want to change entire subscribers for one channel. But that's not what the guy I replied to said. He said an extra $5 per month.

Yeah I really don't know how he can do that, maybe he means it's $5 more a month if he swapped from cable to direct?

Or is the sports package $5 a month if you already have direct? (if that's the case he's an idiot for bitching)

It's not always five bucks. Sometimes, if you want certain channels, you have to do something like pay for the "Digital" or "Spiffy" package or whatever and then you can add stuff onto that. By the time that's done, you're looking at $25 or $30 a month.

I'm not on the complaining side, though.

ETA: OK, I didn't read the post you were replying to. I don't have time for too much reading. I'm a busy, busy man.

Probably. That's how it is for me.

I've watched a ton of BeIN this year and have only seen cut-ins like they did for Chile v Paraguay last night in their airing of WC qualifiers. It's also the only telecasts in which you get any mention whatsoever of other matches at all aside from halftime "Express".

I've noticed because I love the way, unlike ESPN, you never hear spoilers during their regular Serie A or La Liga broadcasts.

My guess is that it may be the last time they cut out full screen after the feedback they'll receive.

They (understandably) did it for the final day of La Liga. However, their cut-ins involved multiple slow-motion replays from multiple angles. I was watching Sociedad-Depor but essentially ended up watching Valencia-Sevilla and Mallorca-Valladolid 5-10 minutes behind.

I don't really mind if they do it, though I understand why some people would. I just hope that they actually think before doing it again.
