Soft penalty. Jack flopped. Morata sucks. Wenger Out.

In the vein of being pedantic, is there actually anything in the Laws of the Game that says a player has to attempt to avoid a challenge? Obviously, you can't deviate from your line of movement to create contact, but IF (and I haven't watched the Wilshere replay enough to be sure what happened) Jack stayed on a straight path and merely drug a leg, is that something he should be penalized for under the Laws or is it merely down to convention that he should have avoided the challenge by lifting his leg instead of dragging it, which is an unnatural running motion for sure.

Stuck his leg out and drug it.
Aka, he initiated the contacted which is feigning a foul and deceiving the referee.
I think I have that correct. Maybe.

Like I said, don't have the exact details devoted to memory. Putting the leg out to the side to initiate the contact would obviously fall under embellishment.
