Today is the first of the four Euro 2012 quarterfinals. The Czechs reached this point as winners of Group A while Portugal finished a somewhat "surprise" runner-up in Group B after some impressive performances.

Teams will be posted below once known. I would not expect Portugal to make any changes at all from the XI that was so impressive against the Netherlands on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Czech manager Michal Bilek has said Tomas Rosicky is unavailable as a starter, but could come off the bench if needed.

Also, remember that yellow cards do not reset until after this round. I'll list for each team the players that would miss the quarterfinals with another booking.

VENUE
Stadion Narodowy, Warszawa

CZECH REPUBLIC (4-2-3-1)
Cech; Gebre Selassie, Sivok, Kadlec, Limbersky; Hübschman, Plasil; Jiracek, Darida, Pilar; Baros.
Players on a yellow card: Jiracek, Rosicky, Limbersky, Plasil, Pekhart

PORTUGAL (4-1-2-3)
Rui Patrício; João Pereira, Bruno Alves, Pepe, Fabio Coentrão; Miguel Veloso; Raul Meireles, João Moutinho; Nani, Hélder Postiga, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Players on a yellow card: Coentrão, Postiga, Meireles, Ronaldo, Pereira

MATCH OFFICIALS
Referee: Howard Webb (ENG)
Assistants: Michael Mullarkey (ENG) and Sander van Roekel (NED)
Fourth official: Jonas Eriksson (SWE)
Goal-line officials: Martin Atkinson (ENG) and Mark Clattenburg (ENG)

NATIONAL ANTHEMS
In case some of you want to get a listen in before the match (except you GMo):

Hey this is crazy, but Czech Republic moves on, winning goal, Rosicky maybe.

Well, I think we can be certain Nani will be drawing a penalty in this game.

Could see time in the second half. Definitely won't start.

Wasnt he involved in a big controversy this season over a disallowed goal or something?

No idea, but he's usually one of the more adequate officials in the EPL.

The lesbo haircut will be on full display today, I'm certain.

Chelsea were edging the contest at Wembley 1-0 thanks to Didier Drogba's first-half opener when Atkinson awarded the Blues a second through Juan Mata in the 48th minute.

Webb and Clattenberg are both pretty good refs IMO. Martin Atkinson has been one of the worst in the EPL for years now.

I may or may not make the final. I have to work super early the Monday after.

If not, I will block out opening EPL weekend for sure. And you never know when I might pop in in between. Maybe catch some Olympics or something.

I have to root for Portugal because Nani is one of my favorite players.
