My high school class was the combination of two select teams. We didn't have shitty rec players.

My original post in this thread said elite HS teams would win. Not average teams made up of non-soccer players looking for an excuse to not participate in PE.

we had a relatively wide array of select teams. probably about 4-5. basically all national academy or rpl. the bench was pretty much the sophomores and freshmen who were on rpl teams.

When I was playing, Lafayette had 2 select teams. Now they have 1 I think.

So if the 2003 World Champion Germany team loses to an under-16 boys team...then what would an average high school team do?

thats probably a huge difference between there and where i live in atlanta. my high school is probably 30-45 minutes away from about 5 clubs that absolutely put any club in lafayette to shame. that's not putting laffy down by any means, it's just a matter of population and all that shite. so if kids dont make the national academy team at concorde or afu, they go play on the rpl team at gsa or nasa or some shite. (pulled clubs from atlanta for example). i doubt people in lafayette really have that option.

They lost to a U-17 boys team. It doesn't say who they played. If it was a German U 17 team, then I'm not surprised.

No doubt a top u17/u18 club team would beat the women's. But as good as jesuits high school team was, they were far from the level of an elite club team.

Nice find. And that was the German national U-16 team. The women's team losing to them isn't a surprise. The German boys national team set up is excellent.

Well yeah, u17 Concorde Elite should frick up the women's WC team ...

Jesuit High ... No. shite, their backline couldn't even possess. Pressure and they'd kick it out.

Well lets just say Jesuit of a couple of years ago played a women's world cup team, Patrick Mullins would have scored a hat trick.

Also, from your link.

quote:

You are talking about 2003, that was 7 years ago. Chances are the team has probably gotten better since then. Girls can play just as well as the guys, but girls playing against girls is a totally different thing than men vs. men. Men play at a much faster pace, women play slower against other women. The womens game is very physical and is more start/stop. The mens game is very fluid, but has more brutal tackling and such. When I played soccer, I played on the guys club team, and we went to west coast regionals. I scored 1/3 of all the goals and had most of the assists. If women were given a chance to play with men, we would be able to prove that we are as good as the guys. They should play with the men, but they are almost never given the opportunity. If my high school team could beat the freshmen boys team, then I am pretty sure that a professional womens team can beat “grammar” school boys

Break their legs so they couldn't run away from the post-game raping.
