I am a fan of Morata. Very bright future for him. Seems his buyback will be the full 30 million euro the way he has played

Is the deal/option through the end of next season?
He's was being pretty vocal about wanting Real/Juve to go ahead and finalize the sale to Juve this year.
He's been extremely impressive. The one thing that he still needs to work on though is simply finishing, he's been a bit wasteful this year.

Pretty surprised at how quickly Morata has put things together. I probably openly criticized Juventus here when they bought him, and if I didn't, I was certainly thinking it.
Be interesting to see who gets dropped for Benzema. Probably Isco, unless the Ramos experiment is over. Benzema, Ronaldo, James, and Isco are perfectly capable of combining in tight areas, so hopefully they can work themselves into dangerous positions during the second leg. Otherwise, we might be treated to a crossing exhibition.
The last twenty minutes were pretty painful. Real Madrid slowly moving the ball around. Ronaldo getting bored and dropping deep, receiving the ball, seeing nothing, so just returning it to whoever was still just standing in front of him. Chicharito's lack of versatility on full display.
Really don't want to see Ramos in midfield. Beyond the obvious, really tired of Kroos pushing forward and shooting every single time he picks up the ball within 30 yds of goal.

Bale got that level of respect for his magical ability to score a game winner in the last five minutes of a match. It was truly uncanny. It was the closest thing you will ever see to "clutch."

Have only seen Ramos in midfield in a couple of the recent matches. He did break up a lot of developing counters but that's about all.
The diamond Juve runs can be pretty frustrating at cutting off the "trequartista" area and isolating play on either wing where Marchisio/Vidal are pretty good defenders.
For all the talk of Pirlo's defending, unless you really make them move (not by one guy trying to dribble) he kinda just lives right in the way.
Benzema will certainly help and also some later arriving midfielders that pick out a pass instead of a shot from distance (as you point out).
Kind of expect that to happen in the return leg though and Real to squeeze through something like 3-1.

Yeah, I haven't seen many of Real's matches where he's played in midfield recently but it was also a matter of Juve's tactics.
Ramos actually did well in breaking up a lot of developing counters / winning back possession but it seemed Allegri's directions where to press the other midfielders and leave Ramos picking out accurate long diagonals or through balls as the "pass that beats you".
Ramos more often than not recognized the passes but couldn't complete them to save his life.
In short, it followed the blueprint of what conventional wisdom would expect of a defender plugged in midfield at the highest level when the tactics aren't mainly to not concede a goal.
