Yeah, the laws of the game are quite fair on this point. No way a guy should get sent off for a foul similar to the one that started this debate. The red card is the most crippling penalty in sports. It's the nuclear option. I'm for its use being restricted not expanded. You'd be giving a full game-altering penalty (and a suspension) for a single move altering foul. Too harsh for me.

I dont necessarily fully agree but I understand your opinion and respect that argument.

I don't necessarily think Garcia should have been shown red, but I think Bob still raises a valid point. Garcia was able disrupt a play with obvious goal scoring implications with virtually no disciplinary action.
A red seems harsh, but a yellow seems soft. Oh well.

Orange card?

He's saying the rule book needs to be altered to prevent that foul from occurring.
RE Jargon. I'm referring to 'cynical'. Tremendously erroneous usage of the word, which due to repetition, has become 'fanboy' and 'pundit' speak (i.e., "jargon").

Orange card, he gets sent off but City is allowed to replace him with a sub if they haven't used all 3 after 10 minutes of play.

Or there's some sort of penalty box option. City would have to be a man down for like 5 minutes
