Luiz was hurt but both he and cech are available for selection Saturday.

ETA: Blues Chronicle just tweeted the front three are Mata, Sturridge, and Torres.

I like this. This should look a lot better than the front 3 did in the earlier games.

If Torres actually remembers where the goal is, that is a great front 3.

That's the future front line for Chelsea right there.

Sickness.

What about Lukaku?

At this point in time, There is no room for him as a starter. He's 18 and looks promising but he's not at the level that Chelsea want to be succesful at imo.

I think that Lukaku goes out on loan in January. They won't say it but I think they screwed up playing him against the Canaries.

They wanted to send him on loan once they got him, but a rule blocked it.

This is the Front three i really want to see. ive been anxiously the end of Sturridge's suspension to see if AVB would start him on the right. I think hes going to be great up there along with Mata on the left. that should be the set up for the foreseeable future (if torres ever turns it around) the real question i have is how the middle three will look. personally I dont see it changing at least at the start. but that remains to be seen

The rule blocked EPL teams, then they played him against Norwich which blocked all moves. In January, he can loan out of the EPL.

Yeah, it's time to see if Torres is finished or not. The heat he is getting from Spain combined with a little more creativity from Mata, he doesn't have any excuses left. It's make or break time.

So now AVB is saying no more Modric talk. Meireles is the man according to him. Thoughts? I feel bad for Luka but I don't mind the decision.

It'll pick back up in December. Modric isn't happy at Spurs and that isn't going to change.

AVB says Chelsea will not improve on the offer they made Spurs and the only way I see it being brought back up is if Spurs call Chelsea and offer much less than we offered. You know that Levy would never make that call.

An interesting article I read today had Torres quoted as saying the reason he hasn't scored many goals is because he is surrounded by old, slow players and that now with Mata and Sturridge he will put the ball in the net more. It will be interesting to see what ol' JT and Frank have to say about that. FWIW, I think he is right about the old slow guys, but not necessarily the reason he has played poorly.
