It was a must have win and everyone seemed up for the task. Luiz better step up quick, Alex has put in his papers to transfer in January. I like seeing Romeu play, he makes our midfield a lot more fluent. I think that today could be a turning point for the season. Please God let us win Tuesday.

Great win today, wasnt able to watch the whole thing but caught the goals on replay. I really like romeu in the holding role although id like to see more of mireles because i like him as a player and makes that spot a bit more attacking but romeu has played pretty well in the last two games. and yes tuesday is a MUST WIN

Side note, i wanted to bump this thread a week or so ago to ask why we sucked so much but couldnt find it (new search function i guess) anyway, glad to see it active again

Chelsea looked fricking strong today.

We might have found a player in Oriol Romeu.

Mata is fantastic.

Drogba beasting.

Is he another one of those players Barca sends out but can buy back whenever they want?

I've liked him every time I've seen him play this season. He's going to be a staple from here on out. Our midfield seems so much stronger with him.

Yep. They can buy him back after 12 months I believe. As far as the game today, It's about time we put it on a team early and gave them no hope. Drogba may have played his best game in two years. Good news is we are through. Better news is we topped the group.

10 million after the first year and 15 million after the second year.

Link? I'm not saying you're wrong but I swear it was much cheaper than this and they only had one shot at it.

Romeu cost Chelsea €5m (£4.35m). For the first two seasons, Barcelona have a buy-back option – €10m in the first season, €15m in the second.

Damn, I hate to think we could lose him back to them. However, I'm not sure he fits their style. What say the soccer board?

I haven't seen enough of him to know either way. However, it mystifies me why clubs allow Barca to get away with that kind of stuff. Did the same thing with Bojan, Crosas, and a few others.

Chelsea's options for CL knock out stages: Napoli, CSKA Moscow, Basel, Lyon, Marseille, Zenit St Petersburg, AC Milan.

Well, now that that has digested, I feel even better. Mata and Sturridge are playing great right now. Romeu is playing well. I just wish Barca wouldn't buy him back. I think the biggest statement today was AVB has ZERO faith in Torres. Will he be on his way out in January?

I think there's no way roman can dish Torres. He doesnt want to admit defeat. Anelka and drogba are on their way out, that leaves room for Torres to get a bigger role with Sturridge and mata up front. We need to buy a defender. Bad.
