Ziyech or someone is gone soon to make room for Felix on the CL Roster
all of the young guys recently acquired are elgible for CL with no additional roster moves because they are all born after Jan 1 2001

He is going to be a really good player here. Good result on the road I’ll take the point. Still not scoring many/any.

Terrible mentality, wtf good does a point do us? Liverpool is arse. We have to win these games now, all of them

We aren’t in any position to expect 3 points at Anfield right now. Be realistic. A bunch of new guys on the side need time to adjust.

Yep. Will be a solid backup for Pulisic.

To answer some questions on how Chelsea are able to spend so much.
UEFA is set to close “Chelsea Loophole” by setting a 5 year max on contracts (including extensions?). It would take effect this summer.
I see is selling HZ and one other player and signing Enzo (and maybe someone else) before the window closes.
My guess is there will be a frantic finish as the Blues look to lock up some players long term.

Stockpiling talent. Can’t say new ownership is standing pat. Although Roman made sure new owners would invest 1.5B in néw acquisitions as a term of the sale. That man loved Chelsea. The question is whether Potter is the gaffer to move this forward.

We are “overpaying” now, but history has shown that these long term contracts have a way of working out.
For instance, look at what we paid Leicester for Kante. At the time, it was market value (or above). Now, it is peanuts.
People thought that I was crazy when I said to pay the price and bring in Haaland two years ago. Then we turned round and spent a fortune on Lukaku. If elite, young talent is available...go get it.
Once this change is implemented this summer, we will be reliant on these youngsters going forward.
In short, what seems like a haphazard manner of stockpiling young talent may be a brilliant move long term. Time will tell, but the more the curtain is pulled back, the more I like what I’m seeing.

CFC tried, EH's agent used CFC as leverage, he always wanted to play for MC

Didn’t his dad play for City? Yeah he was never coming to Chelsea

I have no problem buying all these guys and investing in the future. However, when we are spending all this money and still trotting our Kai Havertz and PEA up top every week that's maddening.

You can't just tank seasons at this level. Missing out on CL sets us back in so many ways. If we had bought a striker at the beginning of the window we would probably be right in the thick of top 4 chase right now.

No striker, but Caicedo reportedly is signed (75 million?).
That follows Malo Gusto (right back) who will come in next summer, and
Noni Madueke.
Lastly, the rumor is that Enzo Fernandez is supposed to sign on Thursday, with some Chelsea players heading to Benfica.
Kante and Jorginho are out of contract this year, so Chelsea may jump in for 100 million + players.
Crazy times.

Why the hell are we throwing money at a 20 year old right back when we have the best in the world...
