Final table, are we over or under Jose’s 10th place finish?

Man, I cant wait for us to hire Lampard, watch him get sacked mid season, then Guus Hiddink take us to an 8th place finish

This was my prediction in the transfer thread before Sarri had left I'm going to stick with the 8th place finish. Hopefully the Guus part is wrong

I think 7 or 8 is about right. We're last of the big 6 for sure, IMO. And I think we will get passed up by a Leicester/Wolves/Everton.

Why? He knew what he was getting himself into.

Because he’s a first class man and about to endure a terrible season through no fault of his own

He should've not taken a job at one of the biggest clubs in the world when he's not remotely qualified for it. He could've absolutely stayed where he was at and continued to learn.

I mean it’s not like top managers were forming a line in west London. Chelsea is a tough sell even without a two window ban and losing hazard and issues at striker. Lampard makes sense for a lot of unusual reasons. Even if he isn’t a long term savior (who yet has been) he still serves a purpose and wants to take on the challenge of a less than desirable situation. Gotta respect him for that whatever else happens.

Why would managers have formed a line? The job was never open. We had a manager in place who was good. We were forcing him out to bring in a specific guy (Lampard). It's not like we were actually considering a ton of other people.

However the season shakes out, getting Sarri out was the right move. Frank needs time to get his players in here after the ban is up. Finishing around 8-9 is about right.

Do you feel like Sarri was a good fit for such a young team?

I wonder why he wanted out? Couldn't have had anything to do with a bunch of ungrateful supporters chanting the f word in front of his style of play.

Chelsea Twitter was unbearable last season. I've never seen a fanbase melt harder over finishing 3rd, making a cup final and winning the Europa League. All w/o a legitimate striker too, which was our glaring fault last season as we could do every thing except finish chances.

ETA: Also Hazard's most productive season at Chelsea last year.

I'm not saying he would have for sure stayed, but the fans made it an easy decision for him by Christmas.

Yeah, impossible to say if he would have stayed with Juventus calling for him. Just dumb how he was treated
