Will Ziyech bump Pulisic down the roster though? and does this mean Willian is out?

Probably not. Ziyech can play wide or the most advanced midfield position. Also, Willian and Pedro are out of contract in the summer. Willian might be back, but it's at a standstill because he doesn't want to sign a one-year deal.

I’ve watched just about every game of his this year, and he’s the engine behind just about everything at Ajax. I think he will prove to be more competition for Pulisic unfortunately, but he also plays in the middle. Plus he’s obviously best out on the right cutting inside with his left foot, and I believe Pulisic has only played on the left this year?

Yes Pulisic has mostly been on the left or in the middle. If Willian does end up moving, hopefully Pedro instead, Ziyech could take that position. We could also use another CAM and leave CHO out right

He's playing on the right nearly every time I watch ajax. His right foot is on par with Arjen Robben's, but he's lethal cutting inside

We’re screwed. Spurs and Arsenal got better during the window and we stood pat. No way in hell we finish top 5 this season. I pray we make some purchases this summer besides Ziyech (who I love).

Get rid of Willian, Pedro, Batshuayi- all worthless. What to do about defense? Lamp has his work cut out for him.

Have to buy a legit LB and a leader at CB. No matter what talent we have, it won't matter until we have a GK and CB step up to be legit leaders.

Imagine, this is the club that at one time had Cech, Lampard, Terry, Drogba, Essien, Maka, Cole, Alex, Carvalho, Ivanovic, Ballack etc...

We don't have a guy with a 1/10th of their leadership ability right now. Azpi tries, God love him, but he usually just comes across as lame or whiny. Mostly because our guys are either 20 or just playing out the end of their career but still, what a fall from grace for this club. Between that and VAR my enthusiasm for soccer is at an all time low.

What Chelsea team do y'all hate more, this one or the 15/16 squad? I didn't think I would hate watching a Chelsea side as much as 15/16, but this team is giving them a run for their money

15/16 easily.

We didn't think we'd finish top four before the season. This team isn't Uber talented or experienced. We also haven't had a healthy squad all year. It's frustrating we've thrown away a firmer grip on Champions League soccer, but at least we're not watching a title winning squad openly quit on its manager to the point of being in the relegation zone.

Agree, this team is frustrating for sure but when you look at our starting XIs it makes perfect sense as to why we kinda suck.

I think frank is rolling the dice on this year, in order to focus on the long term. Most of the players we were linked to in the January window were short term help. Cavani makes us better for the next 4 months, then what? He’s 32, he’s not a long term solution. Anyone remember higuain?

Love the ziyech signing, he’s young (relatively) and the type of world class player you can build upon for years to come. This is where I think frank is going. Not top four this year to qualify to get bounced in the first knockout round of CL next year, but building a squad that can actually sustain the challenge to win trophies over the longer term.

The guard is still changing. Frank is still tinkering, and I for one still believe he might just be a mad genius after all.

I ride with Frank. all you chicken littles, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

I know what you're saying, but given how much everybody sucks and the fact that 5th place might actually qualify, Frank has to get us qualified for Champions League. If you want to bring in Sancho or Haaland or Koulibaly or any other big difference maker, you have to be playing in that competition.
