Courtios is sooooooo good, sooooo glad we spent all that money on him.

ETA: Despite VAR point still stands.

Courtois has been a train wreck since coming to madrid.

Dude has played good in like 1 game.

Send him back to the premier league where he can be a star.

Went to field it like a ground ball, and scooped it into the air right on to the waiting head of a Ajax player for a header from 2 feet out. He was ruled off sides though.

Just saw the replay.
They didn't call offsides on the player who actually scored, did they?

Seems a bit weak to say the other guy really interfered with Cortois.

I mean, he definitely interfered with the GK, but could the GK make the save if the attacker wasn't there? I don't know. He would have had a much better chance if the attacker wasn't there.

Ya, I mean thats close.

I dont have sound so Im guessing they said it bounced off courtois instead of him playing it, which gave the attacker an advantage and made him offside.

I dont know man, as a real madrid fan i think thats a goal.

Yeah. The way im looking at it though, is that he is in Courtois way before the ball is actually headed.

From the moment the ball is headed he really doesn't interfere. Therefore he doesn't interfere while in an offside position.

I'm okay with the call because it is close. But I also know my Ajax bias is showing.

But he was in an offside position when he initially impacted Courtois. He just wasn't actually offside until the header.

Is your impact on the play before the ball is played considered offsides?
Or is it just from the moment that the ball is played?

I'm really not sure on how the laws of the game are worded exactly.
