Liverpool don't really use flying wingers.
He can whip it in the box, and he´s good angling in as well, I could see him being of great use.

I think BR has been willing to adapt more to his players, than Barca... where they appear to be more rigid...

but his skill set does suit a counter attacking side...

Lost in the thread with bitegate, I mentioned possibly going to a 4-2-2-2, similar to what Pelligrini ran at Villereal... they were a very nice, passing team that could match barca in that category...

Anyway, more to fit DS and luis both playing up top....

This should probably move to LFC thread...

As far as wide players, LFC really don't need anyone special.

Crosses aren't particularly useful in our game. I think we have like the 3rd lowest goals scored off headers so far this season.

LFC just needs someone (like Suarez) who is capable of fluidly alternating between all 3 front positions. Someone who can create, pass and score. Tough to find but we have 2/3 with Suarez and Sturridge. Hopefully we keep Suarez and just try to find that last missing piece. Sterling or Ibe will eventually fill in, but that is 5 years away..

When I said stick him out wide, I meant as a WF and not a traditional touchline winger... I think Sanchez can play all 3 positions in the front line and in the hole...

That Villareal did have the great Marcos Senna, and a more than serviceable Riquelme.

yeah, he's a little like Luis in that his strength is dribbling and taking people on... in a different way though... quicker to do a step over than nutmeg you... doesnt have his strength, but a lot more pace...

That one touch passing game of Barca, doesnt suit him... he likes to take players on...

He also has a penchant for going down easy, so there is that too...

I remember watching highlights of them that season with so many 25-30 pass combos that led to goals... they played a very nice style of football...

I like Pelligrini a lot...

Santi Cazorla was waiting in the wings then, and did see some sporadic playing time as well.

Sorín, Godín, that Villareal really kicked the European world into global scouting with an organized and efficient presence.

ETA They even signed Jozy as a 17 year old kid.

I'm hoping that Roma offer whatever he asks this summer (but imagine it's going to be someone like Mazzari or Allegri). I loved watching his Villarreal teams.

If his stock wasn't high enough already, getting this Malaga side a missed offside call from the CL semis with castoff players like Antunes and Baptista starting should be making his agent's head swim.

Haha so if you're good and don't need to dive but just do it because you're a raging bitch it's ok? Wow, that's some backward logic if I've ever seen it.

In all seriousness have Liverpool fans always been this pathetic or is it just the ones stateside? When I started following European soccer even though Chelsea became my team I always liked and respected Liverpool because of their tradition of what I thought was built on attacking but gritty play reflecting their working class fan base. However, this board is not a reflection of that at all.

I was just joking about spearing,etc... Seriously... it happens,I accept it and move on...

Whining about it reminds me of American sports fan explaining why they can't get into soccer, etc... Blahhhhhhhhh
