What a shite show.

Blatter said FIFA officials and others “are starting now the consultations” on whether to move the World Cup from its traditional June-July slot to avoid summer heat in the Gulf, a decision that could drag into 2015. “And when I say winter, I mean it can only be November and December,” he told reporters in Abu Dhabi on Friday before the final of the Under-17 World Cup. “It can no way be January or February.”

Don't think this is smart. I want to see the world's greatest tournament, played in the world's most extreme conditions.
2026 - Siberia (Obviously, we'd have to move it to Jan/Feb.)

Even if you leave this shitshow in Qatar, then build domes. It is not that hard.

Wait...this guy Blatter is not only a FIFA official, but also an IOC member.
WTF?
How many cushy friend of an official jobs can this dude have?
Also seems like he would be getting paid enough for FIFA that it should require he have no other jobs in competing sports.

Meh not really, spent the last seven years in the middle east all around temps average about 80 degrees this time of year. Been in the upper 70's for the last few days.

Not sure what your agenda is homey but to say in the 90's is kinda b.s. I am here now and no forecast even has 90 in sight. In the last 7 years I have seen 90 in the winter about as often as it is below 40 's in new orleans. Yeah it happens but it is not the norm.
