The game is great for TV, limited substitutions, no coaching time outs, no TV time outs. It is so difficult to score that when it occurs the drama and release are unlike anything in sports.

Lots of really good games so far. Agree with Germany Ghana, and many others listed. Belgium Algeria was fun too, but I'm biased. Looking forward to Russia Belgium tomorrow, I have a feeling it's going to be a great one.

I had drinks last night with a friend and his wife during the late game. His wife was watching baseball and talking about how she was a big sports fan but just couldn't get into soccer. Said it was just a bunch of running around and kicking a ball but nothing happens.
I was like, you're watching baseball and saying this?
I told her to think of it like this. Every goal is like a homerun. Every cross into the box or scoring opportunity is like a hit getting runners in scoring position. Every save by the keeper is like an outfielder stealing a homerun over the wall. The list goes on and on about what to watch for and what to appreciate.

Honestly, this whole World Cup has been filled with exciting games. Been awesome to watch

All bias aside, today's game is up there as one of the best so far. Gutting outcome for us but we played great and Portugal fought all the way till the end. It will really be remembered by all soccer fans for years to come.

i think it is clearly the best game so far for a neutral observer. a late go ahead goal and an absolute last second equalizer served up by the best player alive. doesnt really get any better than that if im sitting on my couch in poland or some shite.
