Clint sold himself short the whole time. A move away from England was always best case for him if he wanted CL. France, Italy, something. Everyone (including Clint who deserves blame here too) has played this entire summer like a jackass.

That actually appeals to me WAY more than any of the other possibilities right now.

Inter could be realistic. I don't see Milan putting any more money into the squad right now, and they just picked up Pazzini, so another goal scorer probably isn't a priority. Inter could use help. Milito is the only true striker on the roster, other than their young prospect Livaja.
Dempsey, Cassano, and Sneijder could be a really good attacking trio.

Pazzini was a swap for Cassano. They also sold Zlatan and have Robinho and Pato out with injury. They need another attacking midfielder/forward. And they are in the CL.

Milan just paid Roma to take Bojan on the loan deal with (absurd €40m) buy option from Barca. They still could use another but I don't see it happening unless for very cheap.
Juve is probably looking for more of a classic #9.

That would be a good trio.
However, Inter also just paid €10m for Rodrigo Palacio this summer from Genoa. I doubt they would bring in another attacking player that's also around thirty unless on a free.

That's my main concern with the likelihood of this actually happening. That and the fact they have never been linked with Dempsey
I doubt any of the "logical" destinations we have been discussing will come to fruition though. I have a gut feeling whatever the resolution to this is, will leave us all scratching our heads.

Yeah, unless he ends up at an English club that doesn't any more chance of CL than Fulham, Dandy Lion's probably on the right track about Russia etc. . .
Not up to date on Zenit's roster depth--think they may be looking to add a more true winger-- but they could certainly pay good wages. . .
