That is true, but when you have hopes/expectations of finishing top 4 it really doesn't cut it being stuck with those players due to whatever circumstances put you in that situation.

Very true. I have no shame losing to a revamped 'Pool side. I just wish we could have played them closer to full strength. We had four PL debuts today. That's a lot, even for us.

Just got done watching the recording (too lazy to wake up #badfan), but Frimpong strikes me as sort of a hot head for you guys Leauxgan. He's certainly a frontrunner for the Swag XI in the future. Solid holding mid though. Fantastic work rate. Just kind of a cunt.

Yeah, he's about where Wilshere was last season. Young guy, clearly talented, but mentally feeble, letting small things get the best of him and making reckless challenges.
But I'm very happy he's showing potential. He had an ACL tear that kept him out all last season, so to see him regain his stride is inspiring.

I was actually impressed with these young guys you ran out there...in particular Frimpong and the young centerback (despite the awful mistake). Just nothing going on centrally in the attack. And I understand that you're really beat up right now. But Wenger needs a move. Being frugal might help you long term, but you're Arsenal. You don't play for the future.

He's got a lot of potential and a huge upside. He was pretty impressive until he got sent off.

There's a chance he'll be in Chelsea soon anyway. He'll fit in nicely there if he does.

cultural disconnect
it's a celebratory gesture in their (sign) language. here's ronaldo after a beach volleyball game:
"yay! we've won"

I thought he gave the finger but wasn't 100% sure. He will fit in nicely in Chelsea.

He looked mad at Lucas and Suaraz covered it up.

Arsenal doesn't have anybody that gets behind the defense. You would think that Walcott would but it doesn't really happen. Van Persie doesn't even try to. Maybe Gervinho? I haven't seen enough of him.
Just seems like they've become more and more predictable and easy to defend over the last couple of years.

Amazing to me. Last year at this time he was making runs all over the place. This game he kept calling for the ball to his feet, and expecting to outrun Enrique. Good LB's won't fall for that shite. The movement of the front three this game was really poor.

No doubt...Enrique appears to have good positional awareness and the pace to stay with Walcott...
He looks to be a steal at £6M...

He kept Walcott pinned back as well. Theo wasn't really dynamic with his running though. That was one area he improved upon in a big way last year. He also panicked nearly every time he got the ball. He has to show that he's a big time player because we'll need his scoring ability if we are to go anywhere this season.
Enrique looks to be a good buy, but I don't seem to recall if he got a cross in. With your wide players, that type of thing might not be all that valuable, but it might be useful when Carrol isn't playing like a moron.

He had a few nice lobbed balls

Enrique is supposed to be our fastest player, followed by Downing.

All plans for the match were put on the fritz. Ran into and old college girlfriend and things got crazy. Woke up at 9:30 at her place. Kind of the result I was expecting. Time to BUY!!.

It was crazy. I stopped at the River Shack on the way home to have two beers. As I was leaving three MILF's walk in and I was like wow, that is XXX. Stayed and had a few drinks. Her two friends left and it just went up hill from there.
