this is pathetic. too big of a drop off between players.

I mean, only Squillaci and our GKs have been truly bad...but yeah...

you can also tell that song, theo, ramsey, and rvp arent out there.
chamakh is a non factor, same wit arshavin. this game doesnt really mean anything, but id like us to make a decent run at the cl.
hopefully we can make some moves next month.

it's just dumb mistakes that will take you out of the game, but i don't see anyone on the field that will light a fire under anyone's arse to get this team on track. a quick goal is the only chance at getting back into it, but i didn't really expect much from this game.

I think you guys may be reading into this a tad too much. Most of these players don't play regularly, meaning they lack understanding with one another.
Plus, Olympiacos is at home and fighting for 2nd place, so they will have that extra surge of passion while we can rest on our laurels, literally unable to be pried off of our #1 spot.
It's not pretty out there, but it's far from troubling, imo

I agree. I actually didn't expect a win, but i just want to see our players playing well. at least they can get out all the mistakes when it doesn't count and if they are needed in big games, they won't have the rust

who scored? im on my way to work.
my biggest fear would be this team losing confidence for the final stretch of the pl. plus if we rack up anymore injuries, then we will keep having to play the guys that arent quite ready yet.

Yossi scored from ~12 yards out. rocketed a practically unsaveable half volley past their keeper after it ricocheted off of Chamakh(?) and fell in Yossi's path

looking ahead to tomorrow's matches.
it would be nice to see both manchester clubs knocked out.
the only thing that sucks is that bayern have already claimed top spot so they most likely won't play all their players, but napoli hold their own destiny against a pitiful villrreal team.
man u however are playing at basel who have only lost 2 games all year and are leading the swiss league.
one team out would be enough to brighten my day

can we make this happen???
Gotze for $$ + bendtner + arshavin
might be a little too much money, but the way arsh played today, i'm all for it

Don't see that happening. Those two wouldn't really ease the loss of Gotze. They'd probably rather have the cash.
Our best bet with Andrei at this point is to sell him at an inflated price to Anzhi Makhachkala imo. I'm one of his biggest fans, but he just doesn't have it anymore.

i really like him, but he gives us nothing, and certainly isnt going to help us when gerv is out. i do recall him saying he only wants to play fro zenit if he goes to russia. How much can arsenal comfortably spend in Jan?
I also have a question about being financially responsible like an arsenal. Could it hurt them in the long run? lets just say they dont do enough to start winning trophies. obviously they could see a loss from not making champions. but what about sponsor deals, and ticket sales? also top flight players wont want to play for a team that doesn win, which seems to have bit arsenal in the arse the last couple of years.

Santos injured last night, out for Everton.
...And THAT'S why you don't play starters in a meaningless game.
