If Vela's name was "Wayne Rooney" that'd be the ESPY play of the year!

I'd rather both go to teams that in England in the PL. I'd rather Frimpong go to a team like Swansea who pass the ball around, which is the part of his game he needs to work on, while I want Ryo to go to a team in the PL or upper level Championship that will give him games and get him used to the physicality of the league.

I'd be fine with that Frimpong move. Not the optimal location, but him getting upper level matches under his belt is important.

I would agree with you on Ryo. The physical part of his game needs to be improved and the Championship would help there. Not sure he's shown enough to get any games at the PL level for any squad. A Ligue 1 deal wouldn't be the worst thing though. Worked well for Coquelin.

IMO i think we need to loan out coquelin for the rest of the year. I think he is better than frim, but frim is more like song. If song were to go down (knock on wood), i think frim could cover the defensive duties better than coquelin could. We also have yossi/eastmond/diaby/rosicky who are all similar to coquelin that could fill his void if we needed him.

also look at what happened when we loaned out wilshere to bolton. He came back and was a great player. If coquelin could get regular team action with someone like bolton/swansea he would come back and compete with the loaded midfield that we already have.

I'd be surprised if Eastmond ever got a first team game with us again. Rosicky is old, Yossi is on loan, and Diaby is injury plagued. Our midfield isn't as deep as it should be. I'd like for us to keep one of Coquelin and Frimpong. Frimpong is on another level physically, but Coquelin is better than him technically. Also Coquelin did a great job against De Jong, turning on him 2 or 3 times. I'd like a loan for either, but not at the expense of being short in the first team. Once we get Wilshere back though we will have more depth, so a move in January makes sense. I wouldn't mind loan moves for Miquel and Yennaris, along with Afobe and the continuation of Aneke's loan.

So apparently Allycat Song is 1 yellow away from serving a 1-match ban. After 5 yellows, at any point in the season, you get banned. Honestly may be best to rest him against Everton this weekend so that he'll be available for City after that. It's crucial we have a best available XI imo.

Also, saw this morning where @OptaJose showed where RvP is second behind Ronaldo and in front of Messi for most goals in Europe this calendar year. Once again, re-god-damn-diculous that he wasn't at least longlisted as a Ballon d'Or candidate.

Lastly:
[whispering] Psssst, hey-- hey Chelsea. We're about to pass you geriatric frickers up for 4th.

Ballon d'Or is shite. It is going to be between ronaldo/messi/xavi for the next 5 years and no one stands a chance at getting it even if someone eclipses those 3 that year.

Minus a big January spending spree from Abramovich, I feel pretty good about our shot of ending up anywhere from 2-4.

I too think it would be wise to sit Song, but I fear its unlikely. Coquelin and Frimpong will likely both feature in Greece Wednesday. If only one gets the start, them perhaps they other will deputize Saturday.

Crazy, my guess is Coquelin stays around as Song's backup and Frimpong goes out on loan and gets some PL experience.
