So who are some players you guys would like to see us get? I'd really like to go get Federico Fazio of Sevilla. He's a 6'5 CB who would be a replacement for Djourou, who doesn't look like he is up to snuff. He can play in defensive midfield, and has really lovely technique.
It doesn't look like we will get Hazard, but I'd like for us to try to get Alan Dzagoev. He's a second striker/attacking midfielder who has excellent movement and great technique. I also wouldn't mind a player like Ivan Rakitic, also from Sevilla. I also wouldn't mind a player like Javi Martinez, or Llorente, but both those players seem unlikely.
I'd love to find another player that can move between the lines, which would add a lot of fluidity to our game. Song is really developing into a wonderful DM, but his contribution in the final third is sub-par. We might have to look to Spain to find one, since the country seems to produce media puntas with ease. Arteta has that ability, but he isn't nearly direct enough. Ramsey has that ability, but lacks confidence with his back toward goal. If Wenger could teach Ramsey how to turn like he taught Fabregas how to turn, then Ramsey's physical style could run rampant in the PL. But right now, Ramsey takes at least three touches to turn. And its not an issue of athleticism, as Fabregas is a below-average athlete who can turn on a dime and face the play quickly. Even Wilshere doesn't have this ability. When Fabregas first started playing up the field in 2008, he struggled with this, most notably in that UCL semi-final against Man U where Anderson locked him down. But he learned and ran rampant in the PL the next season. It's so important for the furthest forward midfielder to be able to receive the ball to the feet and turn to face the play in one or two movements. That is the key to our midfield becoming better.

Wenger also compared Chuks Aneke to a young Yaya Toure. Wouldn't mind having a Yaya Toure on our team.
Aneke has amazing passing ability on the reserve level, with the physique of a player like Vieria. His problem is that he's slow, but so was Fabregas, who had none of the other physical qualities that Aneke does. I really hope Aneke and Afobe work out, as they have been the other stars of our academy.
It's also nice that our academy is producing so many potential first team players. JET would have been a first team player had he remained in defense, as he doesn't have the offensive brain. Frimpong is a specimen, Coquelin is an excellent B2B player who can replace Denilson, Wilshere is going to be world class, Miquel looks like he can contribute and we probably have a few more that can help us out. We have to keep all these players, especially Wilshere. Really hope Aneke sees some time.

What's the deal with the pages being cut off on the Soccer Board? I thought there was a whole new Arsenal thread when I first saw it.
It's the whole site. No idea why.

I'm not nearly as well versed on world footballing talents as you, crazy, but someone I've liked since the last WC is Christian Eriksen. Ajax is struggling some and he might actually be in our price range unlike a lot of other creative midfielders.
As far as another striker goes, I think Llorente would be a very welcome addition. I'd love any one of Napoli's front 3.
I know I probably shouldn't hold out much hope, but I really feel like we'll pick up one or two really great additions in January.

Oh yeah, Eriksen would give me a boner. I'd love for us to get one of the up and coming Brazilians if we could. All we are missing from the midfield is a player who can play the final ball and/or a player who can move the ball quickly to the wings so that the wide player can play a final ball. Ideally, it would be Ramsey to do this, but not until he develops that last aspect of his game. Marvin Martin would be sweet, as would Gourcuff. Hell, I would take an older player like Christian Tiffert, who has to be the most underrated player in the world.

here's a radio stream: LINK
arshavin just scored a goal as I tuned in!
...also finding out it was merely an equalizer...!
1-1
edit: now 2-1 through Park! sounds like Arshavin gave him the assist, with a right footed finish 15 yards out, described as "nerveless finishing"

Maaaaybe Park will be able to give us something to rest Van Persie after all

sounds like Frimpong and Coquelin have been giving the ball away. In fact Muamba's goal came from an errant Coquelin pass.
Both teams sound as though they're hungry to press for more goals. Competition still very much on in the 65th minute
Fabianski sounds as though he's, per usual, a disaster in waiting

Frimpong just left the pitch with an injury.
Still 2-1, 4 minutes added time.

We win, but Bolton got off 18 shots on goal. Sounds like we were outplayed a bit.

It seemed like Bolton had many opportunities in the last 25 minutes. It was frustrating listening to the audio stream and not being able to see what was going on. I found a Korean video stream, but it was quite choppy and lagging behind the English audio.

Gif of the goals.
1st goal
2nd goal
Hell of a finish by Park right there.

Very encouraged from all the reports I read about the match. I think we've found our backup striker in Park. Also, love that Arshavin was playing centrally. Crazy that this was his first opportunity there this season considering the absence of Cesc and Nasri. Wouldn't mind seeing more of that.
