There are huge problems if the staff hadn't yet realized Arsenal's lack of defensive prowess by this point in the season

Im not a fan of our extremely high line with the offsides trap, and not a fan of Gibbs always being out of position/poor awareness when he is back on defense.

I think I saw that when Arsenal.com was counting down the best goals in club history or some shite. Didn't realize it was on YouTube.

He had a hat trick this weekend for NYRB, but his assist was a ridiculous touch. Guy is still world class. 5 goals in his last 2 games.

We aren't that bad at it, but our biggest problem is consistent pressing. It's why sometimes Song is the highest up the pitch, and why Arteta is the deepest. It also shows why Rosicky and Ramsey play so much, as they have some of the best work rates on the team.

Agreed. And it shows how much we have missed Wilshere as well.

meet your new Guardian columnist, Sol Campbell

his piece really doesn't say too much new, but it does have some interesting incites from an ex-player's perspective

quote:

Much of Arsène's work has been done behind the scenes, implementing rules that have altered the mindset of every player who has worked under him. Little things like having to take your boots off before entering certain areas of the training ground to prevent the spreading of dirt – a trait he picked up during his time in Japan – introduced a level of professionalism and dedication to detail not seen at Arsenal. Another thing he has always been big on is diet, with every member of the squad made to follow a strict, low-carb intake during and before each season. Unusually, he does allow the players to have a sweet after every meal with the rice pudding that was served at home and away games a personal favourite.

Important edit:

Jack Wilshere's dessert flan #decent

Chambo better have tapped some of that ballet arse. The other 3 probably did too, but since they each have significant others (maybe Song doesn't...) I can't officially condone that Petrino-shite.

Anything to this? Not sure what reliable sources are for over there.

In the transfer market? Almost zero. I would love for Clint to be a Gunner. I just don't see any chance of this happening.

Yeah i figured there is more rumor than truth when it comes to transfer market. even Arsene said we werent going to loan out Arshavin, and they did.

We aren't going to pay £10 million for Dempsey. He would be a Benayoun replacement. Arteta was a valuable signing for that price, but we overpaid for him. The only way we would get Dempsey is if he was priced at around £5 million.

It was worth though. Especially considering no Jackie boy.
